Luys Milan's beautiful compositions for the Renaissance vihuela were published in 1535, and include pavans, tientos and fantasies ranging from very simple to complex. Enjoy learning and playing them in his birthplace, the ancient town of Xativa, near the Mediterranean city of Valencia in Spain. The weekend will also provide an opportunity to visit the great Roman castle that dominates the town, and to taste a delicious range of food including the "paella Valenciana".
Accommodation is provided by the Hotel Vernisa www.hotelvernisa.com in central Xativa and is a few minutes walk from the course centre in the Casa de la Cultura with a spectacular view of the castle.
The weekend will include an informal concert on Sunday at 12.00pm in which all the students are invited to participate.
COSTS
UK £275 / 425 euros includes:
- tuition
- hotel accommodation for three nights in a single room en suite
- 3 breakfasts
- transportation to and from airport, Thursday 23rd 9.00pm from airport and Sunday 26th 6.00pm to airport
For only an extra UK £99 / 145 euros you can bring your partner. Price includes double room, 3 breakfasts, transportation to and from airport and attendance at all events.
***Prices do not include air travel***, entry to visit the castle, or meals. Fixed-price lunchtime menu available at 10 euros to include 3 courses, wine, and coffee.

Once your place is confirmed, book your air flight on the flights indicated above. If you would like to travel on another flight, transportation to and from Valencia airport can be arranged at extra cost.
